After Expansion, Rijeka Retail Park Becomes ZDR Investments’ Largest Asset

At the beginning of October, ZDR Investments celebrated the grand opening of the new phase of the Galerija Bakar retail park in Rijeka, Croatia. With an expansion of nearly 11,000 m² of leasable area, Galerija Bakar has become the largest property within ZDR Investments’ funds.

The newly completed phase introduces five additional retail units, all of which are fully leased to well-known international tenants – IKEA, Sport Vision, dm drogerie, New Yorker, and Sinsay.

The second phase of the retail park was developed in cooperation with MID-Bau, the same partner that delivered the original stage of the project. Galerija Bakar is located in the fast-growing Kukuljanovo–Bakar commercial zone, an area transformed from a former regional brownfield into a modern retail destination.

The entire complex follows the latest standards of contemporary retail park design, providing each tenant with a direct entrance from a spacious car park and offering customers a comfortable, accessible shopping experience.
